The folks at the University of Science and Technology in Norway have concocted a mostly-wooden automatic waffle maker consisting of some strange rope-and-pulley mechanism that pours the batter, cooks the waffle, drops it onto your plate for you, and then closes back up automatically for easy cleaning. Video (of course):
This seems more like one of those let’s-see-if-we-can-do-it type things than something of a sillier nature such as the Texas Shaped Waffle Maker or Mickey Mouse Waffle Iron.
